"Introducing the Tamtout Shopper from the Tamtout Collection.
This collection holds a special place in my heart as it represents my childhood, family, and my identity as an Amazigh woman. 'Tamtout' means woman in the Tamazight language, and this collection is a tribute to all the women in our lives – our mothers, sisters, grandmothers, aunts, and more.
The Tamtout T-shirt symbolizes power, energy, empowerment, sisterhood, and solidarity among all women. Through this collection, I aim to showcase the beauty of the embroidery from my Ait Atta tribe.
Inspired by the black shawl/scarf known as 'tahrouyt' in Tamazight, which is commonly worn by women in my hometown, my aunt incorporates various Amazigh motifs in different colors to convey her own story and the tales of our region.
